This website holds details of classes and activities available to puppies and older dogs and their families in and around Salisbury, Wiltshire.

All classes are small, all training methods are positive and are run in accordance with Association of Pet Dog Trainers code of practise.

SATURDAY 21st MARCH - Agility classes and 3.30pm Beginner Basics week 2 will be running outside today

CORONA VIRUS INFO - PLEASE FOLLOW GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES AND DO NOT ATTEND ANY CLASSES IF YOU ARE IN ONE OF THE VULNERABLE GROUPS, OVER 70 OR IN A HOUSEHOLD UNDER SELF ISOLATION. ANYONE ATTENDING CLASSES PLEASE FOLLOW THE SOCIAL DISTANCING RULE OF 2 METRES BETWEEN YOU AND ANYONE ELSE AT ALL TIMES

If Beginner Basics is successful outdoors we will recommence Pup Good Manners classes outside from next weekend

No Pup Behaviour classes running at vets now but we are looking at ways to continue these classes inside the barn when fully sterilised, small classes with 2 metres between each person - details to follow next week.

Anyone currently started a course but not completed it before these measures came into force will be able to get a credit for another class when back to normal.

Natural Instinct food can be collected from barn on Saturdays between classes and other times by arrangements with Sue. If you are not receiving regular texts from Sue about times she is at barn for food please text her on 07753149166.

Next Pup Agility this year is on Saturday 28th March (its always last Saturday in each month!)

Train and Maintain classes on Mondays 6.45pm to 7.45pm are not running at present but will recommence outside when clocks change and Thursdays 1.30pm to 2.30pm only running if weather ok for outside. Regular Thursday class attendees should get a text each Thursday morning advising about that class.

Gundog classes are for anyone who wants to do regular outdoor training with their dog regardless of breed. All exercises are 'gundog type' exercises with heelwork, whistle training, retrieving, hunting etc. Classes will resume when possible and when we have lighter evenings.

Train and Maintain classes will be only be on Thursdays at 1.30pm but see above for corona virus info . These are for dogs who have already attended a Pup course or Beginner course at funfordogs or have attended training classes elsewhere and want to continue with regular classes.

Next Beginner Basics course this year will start later this year.

Next Outdoor Recall class this year is on Saturday 14th March at 1pm.

Next Puppy agility class this year is on 28th March at 1pm. Suitable for pups between 6 months and 1 year old. See below for more details.

Saturday class times - Pup Agility and Outdoor Recall start at 1pm, run for an hour, cost £10 and dont need to be booked.

Regular Agility classes for dogs over one year are Saturday daytime and Wednesday lunchtime (need to book this lunchtime one only). These are for anyone who has completed two workshops at funfordogs - see below for dates of upcoming workshops.

Next set of agility workshops planned for May 2020, Sundays 10.30am to 12.30 noon. Dogs need to be over a year old, fit and healthy and comfortable around other dogs to attend agility workshops and they can then follow on with weekly agility classes. Places need to be booked on the workshops and you only need to attend workshop 2 if pup has attended 3 or more pup agility sessions.

Puppy Behaviour and Development Classes held at Avon Lodge Veterinary Centre, Stratford Road, Salisbury, Hampton Park Veterinary Centre, Sycamore Drive, Bishopdown Farm, Salisbury and Stonehenge Vets, Larkhill Road, Durrington are for young pups aged between 8 weeks and 16 weeks old, usually one week after first vaccination.

Pup agility is running throughout the year always on the last Saturday in each month at 1pm.
Dogs aged six months to a year old. No jumping, but we will be teaching coordination, focus and flexibility as well as having fun with tunnels, tyres and planks.

Puppy Good Manners classes are held at Wagalot Barn, Pitton for young pups between 12 weeks and 20 weeks old. New courses starting regularly on Monday and Tuesday evenings, and Saturday afternoons. Pups older than 20 weeks can join a Beginner Basics course instead.

Classes and workshops are held at funfordogs training centre at Wagalot Barn, Stockbottom Farm, Pitton SP5 1SU (just 5 miles north of Salisbury with easy access from A30)
